Journal Entry Number 3

Dear Diary,
Darling Telemachus has finally made it home! My, how I missed that boy so much after he left! I am thankful that he is OK and made it home safe and sound thanks to the gods. Almost everyone rejoiced in his return, except for the dreadful suitors. I could tell that they had pure hate in their eyes towards Telemachus. I just hope that he'll take control and kick them out of Royal King Odysseus' palace! We had a beggar in the palace today. The loyal swineherd Eumaeus brought him in. I feel really bad for him. He has tattered clothing and looks very old and unhappy. I just simply can't believe that Antinous treated him so badly and threw the stool at him! What a terrible terrible man! Antinous is a heartless man who should be ashamed!

Journal Entry Number 2

Dear Diary,
Where is Odysseus? I have no doubt in my mind that his is dead. I believe he is alive and well; doing everything he can to make it back here to Ithaca. But why is his journey taking so long? I also believe that Telemachus is OK. Penelope is still distraught that both her husband and son are out at sea somewhere, but she is slowly recovering. As for the suitors, they are getting worse. They are getting more and more sloppy every time I see them. They are also very selfish. Only taking care of themselves and doing what they please as if they are the kings of this palace. Odysseus, please return and kill these atrocious suitors! They will not give up on trying to win the heart of sweet Penelope. If Odysseus doesn't return soon, i'm afraid she is going to have to marry one of these appalling and extremely puerile suitors.

Journal Entry Number 1

Dear Diary,
It has been a few days since Telemachus left. All of the women in the house including me are very worried. Especially Penelope. She has been a wreck since his departure. I still feel a bit of regret for not telling Penelope of Telemachus' departure as soon as it happened. It broke Penelope's heart and it would've been the right thing to do. The suitors are animals. They act like wild beasts who haven't had any home training. Poor Penelope trying to stay faithful to the brave and strong Odysseus. The suitors just won't give up on trying to marry her. I hope Odysseus returns soon to kick these puerile, inhumane suitors out. I also hope that he is safe, somewhere close to home. I dearly miss Telemachus as well. Hopefully, he has found his father and they are journeying home together right now. I guess there is nothing much I can do but pray to the gods for the return of the courageous father-son pair, Odysseus and Telemachus.
