Journal Entry Number 1

Dear Diary,
It has been a few days since Telemachus left. All of the women in the house including me are very worried. Especially Penelope. She has been a wreck since his departure. I still feel a bit of regret for not telling Penelope of Telemachus' departure as soon as it happened. It broke Penelope's heart and it would've been the right thing to do. The suitors are animals. They act like wild beasts who haven't had any home training. Poor Penelope trying to stay faithful to the brave and strong Odysseus. The suitors just won't give up on trying to marry her. I hope Odysseus returns soon to kick these puerile, inhumane suitors out. I also hope that he is safe, somewhere close to home. I dearly miss Telemachus as well. Hopefully, he has found his father and they are journeying home together right now. I guess there is nothing much I can do but pray to the gods for the return of the courageous father-son pair, Odysseus and Telemachus.
